Speaking of which, what’s the best thing about turning 21?
Well I can go order a beer and not have to worry about breaking the law, so that’s always nice! I guess that 21 is certainly a pivotal year growing up in America. Over here in the UK you can be drinking when you’re like, 11, so it doesn’t matter.

You get a bit nekkid in your new video, was that your decision?
Yeah myself and the director who I had worked with before. It’s a little bit racier, a little bit more intimate and, mmm! Since then I haven’t been back in the gym so when I shoot the next one, I’m gonna have to go back. I’ve been on the road, and eating…

Do you feel the pressure to work out?
Well, you don’t wanna be doing the shirtless when you’ve just got off a tour. And it feels good man. It was the first time I really worked out and had a regimented schedule in the gym. I felt a lot healthier and was in better condition, even vocally.

The camera is up your face in the video, do you ever get angry with paparazzis?
The paparazzi, yeah you just wanna smack ‘em all in the face. But for the video I knew it was going to be intimate. I had a chance to hang with the actress in it, Nikki. We went to dinner together. I know the director so I wasn’t worried. With the paparazzi though, those guys are really out of control.

You’re certainly a sex symbol. And now you’ll have us boys chasing after you as well…

Have you played in gay clubs before?

It was a fun record to write. We were in a mood that day that we just had to get it down on paper, we knew it felt like a really good song.

Wasn’t it a shame to let it go?
Er… no. I think we both kind of decided it did need a female vocalist. I recorded it, it’s actually on a European version of the album. I cut it because it didn’t fit with the other material. And we decided it would sound better with a diva, a big pop diva.

ABS-CBN statement:

ABS-CBN Network in a statement expressed its gratitude in the release of its news team.

“Ces, Jimmy, and Angelo are finally all free. We cannot wait to bring them home to their families and to ABS-CBN," the network said in a statement released shortly after the release.

Encarnacion was the team’s cameraman while Valderama, who was released June 12, was the driver.

The team’s guide, Mindanao State University professor Octavio Dinampo, was released along with Ces Drilon and Jun Encarnacion.

“We are thankful that our prayers have been answered and our efforts rewarded. We thank everyone who helped secure the release of Ces, Jimmy, and Angelo. We received a great outpouring of support from people all over the world who care for freedom. Their words of comfort and prayers guided and strengthened us throughout this ordeal," ABS-CBN said.

The network also said some of those who helped in the release requested to remain anonymous.

“But they know how eternally grateful we are to them," it said.

The network said the release of the hostages could not have been possible without the cooperation of the people of Sulu and their local government.

A simple celebration with less fortunate Filipinos in the country is what ABS-CBN did and will continue to do until the end of this year in celebration of its 55th year anniversary through "Bayanijuan."

The station's new advocacy program, "Bayanijuan" with the theme “Walang Iwanan sa Bayan Ni Juan” re-imagines the Filipino volunteer spirit, or “bayanihan,” as a force to create a better, more compassionate Philippines for ourselves and our children.

The project was originally conceptualized by the ABS-CBN Foundation, Inc. as an advocacy integrating all its units to help families and build communities in the poorest regions of the country. PACQUIAO IN HISTORIC SPECIAL POSTAL STAMP ISSUE

The Philippine Postal Corporation (PhilPost) will issue both regular and special editions of the Manny Pacquiao stamps in the first week of June in a fitting prelude to the “Lethal Combination” showdown with WBC lightweight champion David Diaz at the Mandalay Bay Resort Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas on June 28.

Pacquiao is the first and only Filipino athlete to be honored in a Philippine stamp while in the US the singular honor belongs to former welterweight and middleweight champion Sugar Ray Robinson who is regarded by most boxing experts as alongside Muhammad Ali as the greatest boxer of all-time. The Robinson stamp had a circulation of over 100 million. With his tremendous following in the Philippines, the US, Mexico and the rest of the world millions of the Pacquiao issue is almost certain to be sold.

PhilPost is presently working out the details of a simultaneous launch in the US with Pacquiao’s management team headed by business manager Eric Pineda and Pacquiao's close friend Gov. Luis "Chavit" Singson who played key roles in pushing forward with the project.

Pacquiao personally handpicked the design of the stamps prior to his departure for Los Angeles last May 12. Pacquiao was very pleased with the design done by the Philately Division of PhilPost and said he was “deeply honored by the stamp. I promise I will do my best every time I fight. The Filipino people are the real source of my strength. My utmost intention is to unite the Filipino people through my efforts in boxing.”

The decision to issue special stamps honoring Pacquiao who is considered a legendary athlete and a living hero was conceived as a tribute for what he has done in bringing pride, honor and glory to the country by his amazing and exciting performances in the ring. Pacquiao is the only Asian to win three world titles and he is aiming for a fourth against Diaz. Pacquiao is regarded as a cinch for the boxing Hall-of-Fame.

Postmaster General Hector Villanueva said “He (Pacquiao) unites every conceivable faction in our country whenever he fights. No athlete has been able to achieve this feat, ever.”

Ms. Elizabeth Tungol who heads the Pacquiao stamp project said that immortalizing Pacquiao through a stamp is “immortalizing the indomitable spirit of the Filipino. From his lowly beginnings to what he has achieved and for all he has brought to our country and people, he truly deserves the honor.”

Special stamps are issued by Philpost to promote, publicize and draw attention to outstanding people, events and objects of national and international significance. The Pacquiao stamps will be part of the " Kaya ng Pinoy" Series which will feature other outstanding Filipino athletes in the future.

The Pacquiao stamp will be denominated at P7 and will come in four different designs with the champion in unique fighting stances. The special issue for collectors comes in a souvenir folder containing special envelopes, stamps, articles and anecdotes signed by the “Pambansang Kamao” himself.

Ligaw is an upcoming afternoon series of ABS-CBN, replacing Prinsesa ng Banyera.It will be premiere on May 26, 2008 (after Wowowee) and will star Roxanne Guinoo as Leya Alegro. At first they titled the series as Wild Flower, Wild Orchid, Cattleya and finally Ligaw. What's up with those title changes? I dunno but for me they should titled it Cattleya, it's more catchier. "Ligaw" is also directed by Andoy Ranay the same director for Prinsesa ng Banyera.

"Ligaw" revolves around the story of central character named Lea Alegro (portrayed by Roxanne Guinoo). It begins in the 80s, a time considered to be the peak of horse race betting. Lea Alegro is the daughter of a gambling man named Dennis, (played by Nonie Buencamino), and his wife Marilyn (Desiree del Valle). Marilyn is actually in love with Mon (played by Isko Moreno).

When Lea Alegro contracts dengue, Dennis finds out that his daughter's blood type does not match his own nor that of Marilyn. This event triggers the changes in Lea Alegro's life. When Lea's mother dies, Lea Alegro is left alone in a girls' town. Lea Alegro blooms into a beautiful woman, and by herself she will search the truth about her life, her true love and her real self. Lea's decision to go back to the horse race track would be the start of her long and winding journey of many discoveries and revelations.

Howie Michael Mandel II (born November 29, 1955) is a Canadian comedian and actor, known primarily for his work on television. He is best known as Ed Flanders's young intern, Dr. Wayne Fiscus on the medical drama St. Elsewhere, as well as creator and star of the children's cartoon Bobby's World.

Mandel is currently the host of the popular U.S. game show Deal or No Deal, airing on NBC, and the Canadian version, Deal or No Deal Canada, airing on Global.

Howie Mandel Meets the 26K of Kapamilya Deal or No Deal. Howie Mandel visited the Philippines from April 22 to 25, 2008, to tape a special episode as part of the show's ongoing World Tour. In this special edition, all elements of the Filipino version were used, except that the game was played by American rules, using American money and contestants. Kris Aquino joined US host Howie Mandel as co-host. This special episode, the first stop of the US series' World Tour, aired on the American NBC network on May 5, 2008. See the video below

The Dark Knight (Batman Begins Sequel)

The much hyped "The Dark Knight" is based on the fictional DC Comics character Batman. This film is a sequel to 2005's Batman Begins, which rebooted the Batman film series after an 8 year hiatus. Christopher Nolan returns as the director, and Christian Bale reprises the lead role but with a different lead girl: Maggie Gyllenhaal, the role is originally for Katie Holmes but she turned down the offer. Batman's primary conflicts in the film come from his fight against the Joker (Heath Ledger) and his strained friendship with district attorney Harvey Dent (Aaron Eckhart).

The film will be released on July 17, 2008 in Australia, on July 18, 2008 in North America, and on July 25, 2008 in the United Kingdom. See the teaser below.

Christian Bale as Bruce Wayne / Batman, a billionaire who has dedicated himself to protecting Gotham City from the criminal underworld as the "Dark Knight

Heath Ledger as the Joker, whom the actor described as a "psychopathic, mass murdering, schizophrenic clown with zero empathy

Aaron Eckhart as the district attorney Harvey Dent / Two-Face, for whom battling the Joker takes a dark toll, and becomes a disfigured vigilante who uses extreme methods

Morgan Freeman as Lucius Fox: The recently-promoted CEO of Wayne Enterprises who supplies Bruce Wayne with the gear necessary to carry out Batman's mission.

Eric Roberts as Sal Maroni: The gangster who now leads Carmine Falcone's mob family.Bob Hoskins and James Gandolfini were reported to have also auditioned for the part.

Michael Jai White as Gambol: A gang leader at war with Maroni.

Nestor Carbonell as Mayor Anthony Garcia.

Cillian Murphy as Dr. Jonathan Crane / Scarecrow: The former director of Arkham Asylum, who poisoned the Gotham water supply with fear hallucinogen in Batman Begins.

William Fichtner as Gotham National Bank Manager: A bank manager working for the mafia, confronted by the Joker in the film's opening. Fichtner's casting was a nod to Heat.

Winston Ellis as Gator: A villain who serves as Gambol's bodyguard along with actor Chucky Venice. He is confronted by the Joker in the first full length trailer.

Monique Curnen as Detective Ramirez: A member of the GCPD.
